NOTE

This site tentatively joins all lyrics to songs recorded by the Ray Conniff singers.

In spite Ray´s  repertory exceeds 1000 songs, we have included here, only those ones performed with words (around 500),  since our intention is to keep this work in accordance with what is on his albums.  We tried to be the more precise as we could : besides we have adapted all lyrics to the version sung by the singers, we have also included those Conniff´s trademarks on lyrics text  - ba-bas, doo-doos, da-das and bam-bams - as much as we could identify what is exactly spelled by the singers.

A section listing composers´ names - full names in most cases - is featured here, as we have also included a search for songs of Ray´s repertory based on their first names. Moreover, you can find two more types of searching in order to localize lyrics: one in alphabetical order, that shows which album an specific song has been included, and other in chronological order, listing the releasings by decades.

However, this web site offers more: a lot of titles associated to songs that were originally included in works made for movies, stage or TV, are linked to specialized sites, which are rich in details on what it concerns to those productions. Regarding the lyrics to songs released, strictly, in old 45´s, they are listed on a separated section, as also the unreleased material, which is featured on another part of this site. Both are also included on the sections with songs and composers´ names from A to Z.

All kinds of help will be wellcome, at any time. Please, if you find out mistakes - I am not an English native - or have any suggestion to make, please, contact me. Click here to be linked to a page with a list of missing lyrics, in case you are able to help me.

I must send my sincere thanks to Manfred Thönicke, president of The Ray Conniff Fan Club, for his kind help and support when I started building this page, as he supplied me with the lyrics to German songs, as also several lyrics in English idiom; besides, he is kindly spreading this work on his web-page and also printed a note on ´S Conniff magazine. I cannot forget to mention Angel Infante, from Venezuela, who, patiently, has transcribed all Spanish lyrics while listening to songs, and then, sent all material to me, through e-mail. Thank you, fellows! Without your kind help, this home-page would be less complete.

In spite we still miss some lyrics, we decided to open this site just on the day Ray would complete 86 years of age. We dedicate this work "in memorian" of Ray, who is certainly performing at Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, some place, in Heaven. Tommy has surely listened to his appeal, which was included on the liner note on "My Way" album, when Ray, simbolically, “asks Frank Sinatra to say to Tommy to reserve a place for him at the trombone section of the orchestra”.

Ray has also a captive place in the heart of those who could understand the message of happiness given by his fantastic music. He will be certainly conducting us, in the memory of generations of Conniff fans from past, present and future, on an everlasting sing-along. So, take your breath away and sing along with...
